New School Year

My first day of school was Tuesday,August 26 2014. I started with a month without homework and then on Tuesday,September 22, 2014 we had it. Here are my school events:                                           August 28:Kickball game(6-8pm)

2014 NC Vacation

I have not blogged since July 11 2014 but there's one thing that I have to write: 2014 NC vacation. Part 1A:On Friday August 1, I woke up at 4am to catch a 4:30 am taxi ride to Logan airport. Our airplane took off at 6:30 am and it went to RDU. Then we got our rental car and went to Clara and
Jack's house. We said hi and then went to Grandma Gigi and Papa's house. Everett was there and he was big!
Part 1B: On August 2, Mom and Dad were going birding so we stayed at Grandma Gigi and
Papa's house. I was running on the treadmill going 7MPH and I fell and got a huge scrape! It hurt! Mom and Dad said I could not get on it.
Part 2A:I was so exited to go to the beach on August 3rd, today!! It was a 2.5 hour drive to the beach, but I did not mind.We got to the beach house and then we explored the house and went to the beach. The waves were huge!!
Part 2B:The morning of the 4th of August I slept well and felt good. I was going to go to the Lutheran Church to practice piano between 10 am- 2 pm. It was a rainy morning, but we found time to go to the beach in the afternoon. I had a great time at the beach and the waves were still big (3 feet tall). Tonight I went to Amos Mosquito's for dinner. We had to wait 45 minutes to get seated, so we went across the street to the fishing pier and I got a tide table for Atlantic Beach, North Carolina (2014). We went to the gazebo at the end of the fishing pier and I looked at the tide table. I got fried flounder at Amos Mosquito's. There was a boy who was very wild! For dessert, we got s'mores that we made at the table. We went back to the beach house and went to bed.
Part 3A: Again I slept very well and had a morning piano practice like yesterday. It was rainy in the morning, but we had fun at the beach in the afternoon. We had spaghetti and seafood for dinner. We went for a 9 pm beach walk tonight.
Part 3B: This morning Mom and I went for a run on the beach and had pancakes for breakfast. We went to visit Dad's cousin Pam and her daughter Katie and granddaughter Braelynn. Today was sunny all day and again we went to the beach in the afternoon. Tonight we are having tacos for dinner.
Part 4A: This morning we spent the morning fishing, but then it turned into beach time. Lina caught one fish, but we didn't eat it. I went to piano practice at the Lutheran Church again and then it started raining. We had pizza on the beach for dinner.
Part 4B: Today is Friday. Dad is going on a fishing trip with Mr. Phil. We had breakfast and lunch on the beach and went in the ocean a lot. We went back to the beach house and met Grandma GiGi and PaPa there. We went back to the beach for a short walk. Dad brought home fish for dinner and we had a feast.
Part 5A: Today was our full day at the beach. Dad made me grits for breakfast. Today is Addy's birthday. Grandma GiGi and PaPa are still here and Mom and Dad got us iced tea and salt water taffy.  I really liked the iced tea and the salt water taffy. Grandma GiGi and PaPa left today and we had hamburgers for lunch. More fish for dinner!
Part 5B: Today I woke up at 6 am to go home. I had breakfast and got ready to go home. We had another 2.5 hour drive, but I didn't mind. In Kinston, we stopped at King's to get meat sandwiches to bring to Uncle Matt, Aunt Beth, and Oliver's house. We ate the sandwiches and went to the airport. Our flight got delayed from 2:15 pm to 3:20 pm. I was happy to go home and see my cats and my room.

Waitt's Mount

This is a park that is called Waitt's Mount. It is in Malden near the Oak Grove T stop. Our friend Inge told us about it. We went there both this afternoon and yesterday evening. There is a slide that goes on a hill, a rope climbing structure, and a gazebo with a slide. We ate lunch on the gazebo in the shade today.  

 This is the view from the summit of Waitt's Mount. The elevation there is 210 feet above sea level.

 This is an obstacle course that is on the opposite side of Waitt's Mount from the playground.

 I can climb all the way up and over the top of this structure.

My New Room is Finished!

My new room is finished. Here are some pictures of it.

New Room Project Update!

I have been wanting my own room for about six months. Mom and Dad finally agreed with me. First, on Saturday May 3rd, we sold Levi's baby furniture. After that, on Sunday May 4th we ordered new carpet and new furniture. Last week we painted what will be my new room. This is my room on Friday May 23rd. Levi is still sleeping in this room on the mattress on the floor. I really the color because blue is my favorite color.

This is almost what my new bed will look like. My bed has an arch headboard. It has drawers underneath the bed where I will put my clothes and some fun stuff. 

My new carpet will be installed on Wednesday May 28th at 11:30 am. 

My Room Project

I will be moving into Levi's room soon. We just sold all of his furniture and his room is almost empty! Here is the "before" picture. 

We just bought a new bed and this is what it looks like.

Pine Banks Park

About two weeks ago, we went to Pine Banks Park to play at the playground. Here is a picture of some moss that we found up on the rocks. I went to the very top of the hill. 

Here are some tree roots. I thought it was cool that you could see the roots above the ground.

Day with Mom

Mom and I spent the day together on Saturday March 1st. We went to Eurhythmics together and had lunch at the Persian place. Then we went to the Boston Common to take a walk. Then we had hot chocolate and macaroons. They were good. After that, we went Papersource and I got a box of sticky notes. Then we went to Steinart and Son's for a piano concert at 2:30 pm. The girl who played was 10 years old and I liked it. I thought it was cool that practices piano three hours a day. 

Fajita Night and Signs of Spring

A couple of weeks ago on Sunday night, we were having fajitas for dinner. This is what the chicken looked like when it was being cooked. 

 Here are peppers and onions all mixed together to go in our fajita.

 Here is some refried beans when they were cooking on the stove.

 Here is some guacamole that I made with Dad. It was really good!

 Here is the shrimp. Levi loved the shrimp. It was a good dinner.

 A couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday afternoon, we looked for signs of spring with the Ryans. We are tired of winter. We didn't see very many signs of spring because it wasn't spring yet. Somehow looking for signs of spring turned into playing in the neighborhood.

Levi's Labor Day

We went to the Square One Mall on Monday February 24th and took a walk in the mall. The day before Levi was born, I took a walk in the mall with Lina and Mom. Then we went to pick up Grammy at the airport. The next morning, Levi was born. Now we go to the mall every February 24th and take a walk, ride the trains, and play at Dick's Sporting Goods.

I can't wait to celebrate Levi's birthday tomorrow.

Winter Beach Day

We went to Newburyport on Thursday February 20th and went to Plum Island. I wasn't at school because I was on February Vacation. Before we went to the beach, we went to Joppa Flats and learned about birds. When we were at the beach, we made a beach snowman. We used sticks for the arms, seashells for the face, and sand for the hair.

 Then we took a walk down the beach. We collected seashells and driftwood and a few crab shells.

 Finally, I got to climb on some rocks. I had so much fun!
