Hammock!

We got our hammock on Thursday and we set it up in the yard yesterday. We all enjoyed it in 60 degree sunny weather! We also made a couple of rules for the hammock. Hope everyone follows them.....

Silly Levi

Levi has been doing some silly things lately. This morning Levi was making Oscar be "comfortable cat"in all these blankets and pillows. Poor Oscar! Levi has a Star wars set in his lego "town" with a bunch of things from the movie. Our daily happenings wall has really been a chalk spot for Levi. Look at these pictures and laugh about what Levi has been doing!

Happy Birthday Levi!!

The other day was Levi's 5th birthday! Poor Levi had to stay up half the night with the thunderstorms on his birthday but he was not tired in the morning. I made some coupons for him to use (see below). Levi's birthday was unusually warm, so we got to walk to school in 57 degrees! After a long day, it was finally time for presents. He got pictures of birds from Dana and Inge and some clothes from mom and dad. Last but not least, it was time for the basketball hoop! He really enjoyed seeing it and playing a little "game". Now it it time for cake. Levi chose a carrot cake which we all enjoyed. Happy birthday Levi! We love you!

We got a New Table and Desk!

We got a new table last Sunday at Marty's Furniture in Melrose. We were there for a little while because we got a new table and desk. We had a great time looking at furniture and dreaming about what it would be like to have the furniture there. These are some photos of our old furniture. Aren't they terrible?

The Cascade Waterfall!

We went to the fells yesterday to see the Cascade waterfall. Isn't it beautiful?

Goodby Grammy and Grandpa!

Grammy and Grandpa had to leave on Tuesday and Lina was so sad!

On Sunday the high was only 12 and in the morning the car said -9!

It's an early Spring!

I went out in the yard today to look for signs of spring. It was 60-65 degrees and sunny and perfect weather for us. It is only February and I can't believe that crocuses and irises have started to bloom......

February Vacation 2016

On Monday February 15, Presidents day was the first day of Melrose February vacation. My dad and I started out with a cold 20F 10k run. I was so cold when I got home that I lost feel of myself. Grammy's warm hugs obviously warmed me up. Thanks grammy!

On Tuesday February 16, Grammy and grandpa  had to leave to Pittsburgh (read more on another post) which defiantly broke Adelina's heart. Poor girl cried all day but she felt better.

On Wednesday, we got up, practiced piano (I only did), ate breakfast, and went to a place called "Physical Therapy" to help Mom's hip feel better. Then we went to a music shop up in Lexington to get me music for my cello. On our way to the car, we saw a store with Charlie Harper puzzles EVERYWHERE and we could not resist taking a peek. We went home and did some yard clean up because there were a million sticks in the yard. We went to the dentist to get Lina's sealence and then went to Target to get organizing supplies for Lina and Levi's room. We also got a cat food storage container called "Boots and Barkley" which cracked everyone up.

On Thursday, we did a bunch of organizing around the house and got rid of a bunch of stuff! We went to wood+fire for lunch and they mixed up our orders and had a long wait. Later, we made a trail in the woods (as you can see out of the terrible picture) named "Skyline Trail" which will hopefully be a good addition to the woods.

Super Bowl sunday

This post is a week overdue, but it is important and I do want to big about it.

On February 7 2016, we sat on the couch at 6pm to watch Super Bowl 50. The National anthem was amazing by Lady Gaga. When the game started, the Denver defense was amazing and Carolina was not playing that well. By halftime, I was confident that the panthers were going to lose and I was right, with the score 24-10.

Grammy, Grandpa, and Happy Birthday Adelina

Grammy and Grandpa came on February 11 and had a good start to their trip. I slept up on the 3rd floor so they could take my bed. Yesterday was Adelina's birthday. We had a good start to the long weekend with a trip to La Q Chara. Audrey stayed the night here last night and loved being with Lina. We had a cake from a cake place in Wakefield and all enjoyed it. It was a great day!

Levi's song

Like I said about a month ago about Levi's piano playing, this really has been continuing. He has made his own song up and he plays it almost day. Watch the video to see him play.

Furniture shopping

We have been looking at furniture lately in despite of replacing our terrible current table!

Ups and Downs

We have had some ups and downs in the weather here: from 65-70 degrees and sunny to 25-30 degrees and snowy in all one week! Monday was the pic of the week by far, with high temperatures and sunny skies.We had a cancellation of school today due to the snow. We got about 6 or 7 inches and enjoyed playing outside. Today was a very lazy day, with pajamas on for most of the day. We played in the snow with a hike in the woods in our backyard (as you can see). It was a great day!

Ensemble Recital

After 14 weeks of collaboration, accomplishments, and hard work, it was finally time for the ensemble recital. Los classicos: Me (piano), Dante (cello), and Gabriel (violin) played 3 pieces together. There were 5 groups which played very nice music. It was a great time!

10 miles

It was the perfect day to run 10 miles: 55 degrees, no wind, and right at dusk! Dad and I ran 10 miles together with a time of 1:15:35.

Track Meet

 On Saturday we went to Boston to go to a BU track meet. We were planning to see one of our basketball and running coaches, coach Steve run but we missed him. We looked at the results and he won 1st in his heat for the 60 meter sprint. We watched the long jump, pole vault, high jump, and other fun things to watch also. we had a great time!
